This unidentified newspaper article from the early 1900's was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:
Schneider Items: What stirred up a good deal of excitement here Saturday was a volume of four boys, David Parson, George Gard, Lagrant Reed and Arnold Dickey. The play was in two acts. First, George Gard built a fire on a pile of ice crushed stone. Dave Parson tossed in a dynamite cap which exploded at once, and the fine stone peppered the small boys something fierce, and might have been serious. Dr. Johnson was called and after giving Reed and Dickey a light job of patches, they were O.K. and looking forward to the 4th for a big excitement.
