She was married to John W. Ault, of Lowell, Ind., September 20, 1893 in West Creek township, by the Rev. Hiram Wason. To this union three children were born -- Mrs. Vida Peterson, of Herscher, Ill., and Kieth Kolb Ault of Whiting, Ind., both of whom are living, and Arthur Ray Ault, who passed away August 26*, 1927. Her aged mother and four grand children also live to mourn her going. Mrs. Ault's husband preceded her in death December 22, 1928.
After they were married Mr. and Mrs. Ault lived in Lowell where he worked at the carpenter trade until 1902. They then moved to Whiting, Ind., where they built a home. They lived there until 1914 when they moved to their farm in Yellowhead township, Kankakee county, Ill., where they remained until 1924. They then moved to their home in Whiting again, which has been the family home up to the present time, and where Mrs. Ault died on Friday evening, January 8, 1932, at the age of 58 years, 3 months and 12 days.
Mrs. Ault possessed an extremely pleasant, cheerful disposition, making all who knew her feel perfectly at home in her presence. She had a fine sense of humor and always made those around her cheerful and happy.
At the age of 23 years and six months, on April 5, 1895, Mrs. Ault embraced religion and was baptized by the Rev. A.M. Hootman and joined the First Christian church of Lowell, Ind. She put her supreme faith, at that time, in the Lord Jesus Christ, and has adhered to that faith unto the end.
She died a member of the Congregational church of Whiting. All who knew her admired her pure, noble character, which was based on true virtue.
The interment took place in Lowell, Ind., Weaver & Son in charge. Dr. Meyer Oakes, of Whiting, officiated.
