The double ring rites were performed by Father Boney at three o'clock in the afternoon with relatives and close friends present.
For her wedding costume, Miss Mueller chose a navy suit of gabardine and navy velvet accessories. A white lace veil decorated her navy velvet Juliet cap. She wore a rose corsage and matching pendant and earring set, gifts of the groom.
For her role as maid of honor, Miss Rosalie Mueller, sister of the bride, was attired in a suit of maroon gabardine, complimented by navy accessories and a corsage of yellow roses.
The groom asked the bride's brother, Bernard Mueller, to serve as best man.
For her daughter's wedding, Mrs. Mueller wore an afternoon dress fashioned of orchid crepe. Mrs. Ballou chose navy crepe and each wore a corsage of gold Talisman roses.
More than 200 guests were received at the evening reception held in Center school, where the bride cut her beautifully decorated four-tiered cake.
The groom, a graduate of Lowell high school, class of '50, is employed at Globe Siding Products Co. His bride, also a former L.H.S. student, has been employed at the Palo theatre for the past three years. The couple will reside on the Mildren Hayden farm in Eagle Creek township, which they will operate after March 1st.
Out-of-town guests attending the wedding and reception were from Chicago Heights, Steger, and Homewood, Ill., Hammond, Gary, Valparaiso, Crown Point, Hebron, Shelby, Schneider, and Cedar Lake.
