The following article was found in the August 17, 1872, Lowell Star on
page 5, column 2:
Sanford Barlow, as everybody knows, is an old Democrat, the genuine article, but he won't swallow Greeley, and he says so in language that is explicit enough for any one to understand it, too. Ask Sheriff Bliss if that is not so.
