Marshall Baxter (1869-1964)

Marshall Baxter was born at Indianapolis, Ind., October 25, 1869, and died May 1st at St. Margaret hospital, Hammond, at the age of 64 years, 6 months and 6 days. He was the son of Levi and Mary Ann Baxter, both deceased.

He was united in marriage to Minnie McNeal in Grant county, Indiana, December 1, 1888. To this union were born five sons and four daughters.

He leaves to mourn: The widow and the following children: Mrs. Edyth Luchene, Mrs. Bertha Rogers and Herman Baxter, of Hammond; Ezra Baxter, of Bureau, Ill.; Homer Baxter, of Momence, Ill.; Clarence Baxter, of St. John; Mrs. Cora Leary, of Lowell; and Wallace, at home. A daughter, Myrtle, preceded him in death 14 years ago.

He has gone through the gate to another Land,
Led by the Master's hand;
Where everything is kind and good,
Where everyone is understood.

So try to believe
That the one above
Has taken him home
As an act of love.
