In the year 1890 he was united in marriage to Margaret Burke, and to this union five children were born. Mrs. Bennett passed away May 16, 1916. Three children have also preceded their father in death.
In July, 1926, he again married to Mrs. Emma Slocomb, who survives him.
His occupation most of his life was farming. Later working for the state, retiring in 1932.
He leaves to mourn his departure, his wife, Emma of Crown Point, his two children, Paul of Creston and Mrs. Marie Smith of Hammond, eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbors.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 9th at 2 p.m. from Sheets funeral home with E.L. Worley officiating. Burial in Lowell cemetery in charge of Kenneth Sheets.
