Brief services were held at the Riblet home on Payne avenue, Rev. A.G. Lane, of Fremont, Rev. Andrews of Crestline, and Rev. E.P. Elcock officiating. In his remarks the latter said:
"We quietly rejoice to say in addition to what has been so well and truly said by his contemporaries of the press, that Mr. Billow, during his serious illness three years since, gave his attention to religious things and entered into the engagement of a blessed peace, and would have united with the church, but from increasing illness it was not wise that he should incur the strain of a public profession. We feel sure that it is well with him above."
After the close the cortege moved to the Presbyterian church where services were conducted after which the remains were taken to Fairview and laid to rest until the morning of the resurrection.
The floral offerings were numerous and beautiful emblems and tokens of sympathy and friendship, and embraced the following:
"At rest" -- pillow, chrysanthemums and orchids, from deceased's widow.
Cut flowers -- Mrs. O.G. Tuttle, Painesville, sister of deceased.
Crescent-yellow chrysanthemums, from the same.
White chrysanthemums and cut flowers, Mrs. M.L. Ebert, Springfield, a sister.
Cut flowers, ferns and white roses, -- C.M. Billow, a brother, Springfield.
Pillow-pink and white tea roses, Knights of Honor, No. 279.
Cut flowers -- white pinks, roses and smilax, Mesdames T.B. Burgert, L.W. Riblet, J. Brancher and S.E. Riblet.
Wreath, white chrysanthemums and pink roses, Mr. and Mrs. D.R. Knisely, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Riblet, Cleveland.

Tuttle, sister, Painesville; Mrs. D. Billow, aunt, Chicago, Ill.; Mrs. D.R. Maxwell, Kirby; Rev. A.G Lane, Fremont; Mrs. W. Young, Forest; Miss Laura Shunk, Cleveland; Mrs. Chas. Shull and daughter Kate, of Mansfield; Mrs. I.C. Funk, Bloomville; besides many other friends rom Crestline and members of the Masonic order and K. of H. of which deceased was a member.
