Mrs. Blanchard always lived a devoted Christian life and was a woman who was greatly esteemed by a large circle of friends.
In 1896 she moved with her family to Lowell, where she has since made her home, until her death at the home of her son, Charles, east of Lowell, at 6 p.m., August 30, 1925, at the age of 88 years, 9 months and one day.
She leaves to mourn her death, her children, 33 grand-children, 26 great-grand-children, one brother, and a large circle of friends.
Funeral services were held at the Believers' church in Lowell, on Tuesday, Sept. 1, at 1 p.m. There was a large number of relatives and friends present to pay their last respects to a woman they had loved and respected in life. The funeral services were conducted by Mr. Gauly, of Chicago. Interment was made in Lowell cemetery in charge of Undertaker William Sheets.
