Early in this life she moved from Ohio and settled with her parents in Lake county, Indiana, about 3 miles from Lowell. And it was here in 1876, on February 22, she was united in marriage to Frederick Bowman. To this union was born one son, Charles Willard Bowman.
In the going of this good woman we lose a helpful and sympathetic neighbor, a kind, industrious woman, loving her work and home with great tenderness, and yet mindful of her companion and loved ones.
Mrs. Bowman is survived by a loving companion, Frederick Bowman, a devoted son, Charles Willard Bowman, two grand children, Mrs. Marguerite Cunningham and Charles Frederick Bowman, one brother, Charles W. Childress, and many relatives and friends.
We miss thy kind and willing hand,
Thy fond and earnest care,
Our home is dark without thee --
We miss thee everywhere.
Funeral services were held at the home at 1:30 p.m. Monday, being conducted by Rev. V.V. Hackley, pastor of the M.E. church. Interment was made in the Sanders cemetery in charge of Sheets and son.
