Della Keyes Brand (1861-1920)

The following February 26, 1920, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 3:
Mrs. Della Keyes Brand was born in the state of New York, January 7, 1861, and passed away at the Lake county hospital at Crown Point, February 27, 1920, at the age of 59 years, 1 month, 15 days. She was married to Smith William Brand, January 1, 1900. They lived in Chicago until seven years ago when they came to Creston, where they have since resided. May 27, 1919, Mr. Brand died leaving her alone and in very poor health. December 23, 1919, she was taken to the County hospital. All that loving hands could do was done, but her Savior called her home out of this world of suffering. During all her sickness she was of a cheerful and loving disposition. Her life proved to all that knew her, to be a true Christian woman trusting her God for all. She leaves to mourn her loss one brother in Salem, Oregon, and other relatives in New York.
Funeral services were held at the Creston M.E. church at 2 P.M., Rev. C.A. Brown officiating. Undertaker William Sheets had charge of the burial service. Interment in the Creston cemetery.
