The following article was found in the May 4, 1944, Lowell Tribune on page 5, column 3:
Mrs. D.C. Driscoll has received word of the death of her sister, Mrs. Ida (Ackerman) Brandon at Berkeley, Calif., where she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Vilma Thomson. Burial was made at Mobile, Alabama, where Mrs. Brandon lived with her family for many years.
