Mrs. Mary Brugh of Shelby received word that her husband, Pfc. Murel Brugh has arrived safely in Brazil, South America. Mrs. Brugh and son are making their home with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Gregg of Shelby.
This September 27, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 3:
A son was born to Pfc. and Mrs. Murel Brugh of Shelby, Sept. 23rd.
