Mrs. Burnham was the mother of three sons and one daughter: Herm, Fred, Kelly and Jessie, two having preceded her, two remain. She had her own religious views in which she trusted God to the last. She was a loving wife, a good mother and a companionable neighbor. In her passing she leaves to mourn her husband, two sons, Herm and Fred, and a great host of relatives and neighbors. Mrs. Burnham was one of our oldest and most highly respected ladies. She was a woman who stayed at home a great deal, feeling that her duty was to make home comfortable for her family, She had a wide acquaintance and her large circle of friends feel that in her death they have lost a very good friend.
Funeral services were held at the home at 2 p.m. Tuesday and there was a large number of her old friends and neighbors in attendance. Rev. C.A. Brown, pastor of the Lowell M.E. church, [preached] the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery. Undertaker Weaver had charge of the burial service.
