The following July 3, 1952, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 4:
Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Cardenas of 30 West 12th St. Gary, are the parents of a baby daughter, born June 18th. The six pound, eight ounce infant has been named Laura Kay. Mrs. Cardenas is the former Mary Carlos of Lowell.
