The bride was daintily attired in white charmeuso with georgette and lace trimmings. She carried a beautiful bouquet. The bride is an attractive young lady and presented a beautiful appearance upon this happy occasion. She has hosts of friends with whom she is very popular for her many lovable qualities.
The groom was attired in a dark suit and presented an attractive appearance standing beside the girl of his choice. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Childress, of Lowell, and is a splendid young man. He and his bride will live on one of his father's farms near Lowell.
There were thirty-six relatives present to witness the pretty ceremony and enjoy the wedding spread, which consisted of pressed veal, potato salad, rolls, pickles, ice cream, cakes and coffee, and was served by friends of the bride, Misses Vera Forberger, Vera Smith, Messrs. Neal Smith and Roy Burnett.
The presents were many and beautiful.
The happy young couple left amid a shower of rice and good wishes for Lafayette and other points.
