A short prayer service was held Saturday morning in the Hebron cemetery preceding the burial of Mrs. Blanche (Bryant) Childs, of Chicago, who died at her Chicago home Wednesday of last week.

Mrs. Childs was born on a farm on the Lowell-Hebron road, Aug. 3, 1878, one of four children of Isaac and Harriet Bryant.

She was graduated from Hebron high school with the class of 1895 and was married to Charles Childs of Hebron, a railway mail clerk, on May 1, 1897.

For a number of years they resided in Valparaiso, moving to Chicago in 1911, where she had since made her home.

Her husband preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1913. Two sisters, Miss Jessie Bryant and Mrs. Bertha George, and a brother, Ed Bryant, also preceded her. Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Charlotte Stein, and a granddaughter, Lois Stein, both of Chicago.
