Henry Cobb (1859-1924)

Henry Cobb was born in Vermillion County, Illinois, April 20, 1859, and departed this life at his home in Thayer, Indiana, December 22, 1924, at the age of 65 years, 8 months, 2 days.

He came to Indiana when a young man and settled near Rose Lawn where on April 6, 1882, he was united in marriage to Miss Anna Gundy.

To this union were born eight children, five daughters, Mrs. Thos. Spitler, of Thayer, Mrs. Glenn Long, of Chicago, Mrs. Ora Schillo, of Hammond, Miss Blanche, of Chicago, Miss Beulah, at home, and three sons, Charles, of Thayer, and Milton, at home, one son having died in infancy.

Later the family moved to Thayer where they have resided since.

Mr. Cobb was widely known and has a large circle of friends who with the family will ever mourn his departure.

Funeral at Presbyterian church, Thayer, by Rev. C.A. Brown. Interment at Rose Lawn, Wednesday, 1 o'clock. Undertaker Sheets had charge of the burial.
