Conroy - Buckley
One of East Chicago's many pretty weddings this season was that of Miss Theresa Buckley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Buckley, of North Magoun Avenue, and John F. Conroy, of East Chicago. The wedding took place on Wednesday, July 20, at St. Mary's church, the ceremony being performed by the pastor, Rev. Lauer. The youthful bride was very pretty in a gown of white embroidered canton crepe and wore a veil with a wreath of valley lilies. She carried a bouquet of brides roses and valley lilies. The bridesmaid wore a gown of peach brocaded charmense and carried roses. Walter Conroy, brother of the groom, was best man. A three course breakfast was served at the home of the bride for immediate members and friends of both families, and immediately after the bride and groom left for a short trip. They will be at home to their friends after July 28th, and will reside temporarily at the home of the bride's parents. -- East Chicago Globe.
