The following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated 1939, was found in a scrapbook owned by Harriet Hoevet Bennett:
Mrs. Charles Rudolph received the sad news on April 8 that her step mother, Mrs. William Darger, had passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Maidl, at New Ulm, Minn. Mrs. Rudolph, her son Arthur, and Mrs. E.P. Hoevet attended the funeral which was held at Tracy, Minn. On April 12th and burial was made in the Tracy cemetery. On their way home they stopped at the Albert Hoevet home at Triumph, Minn., arriving home Friday night.
