DROWNED IN BROWN DITCH
Miller Deckhard, of Hammond, was drowned in the Brown ditch, south of Lowell, early Sunday morning. He had gone with a companion to the ditch to fish and in some manner, before he could be helped out of the water he drowned. The companion, we understand, went up to Crown Point for help, and near evening the body was recovered and taken to Hammond.
