An April 6, 1944, Lowell Tribune article (page 1, column 1) entitled "World War II Vets Installed in Lowell Legion" lists Ruby Dinwiddie, U.S. Navy, Hunter College, as one of nine honorably discharged World War II soldiers and one WAVE who were installed at Lowell Post 101, American Legion.
