Attending Radio School

A letter received by the Joseph Eichs, former residents here, now of Turkey Creek, from Commander L.K. Pillar, USN, informs them that their son, Paul, has been chosen for advanced radio communication training at the navy radio school at the University of Wisconsin. The letter, in part, follows:

"You have every reason to be proud of him because the navy believes that he possesses special ability which qualifies him for the important post of a radio operator with the navy."

One of the family's three sons in service, Paul will train there nineteen weeks. His brother, Cpl. William, continues at his post in Oran, an African port whose bathing beaches rival this country's finest modern beauty, according to snapshots recently sent home, pictures which show him looking very fit. Lt. Joseph Eich is in the last lap of training as pilot of a B - 24 Liberator bomber at Danis-Montham field, Tucson, Arizona.
