The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
Died, Thursday night, February 9, 1905, Drury, eldest child of Mr. and Mrs. Herbert M. Esty, aged 3 years, 1 month and 12 days. He was sick but a short time. The funeral occurred from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Esty at 11 a.m. Sunday, the 12th. Rev. T.H. Ball, of Crown Point, preached the funeral discourse. Funeral Director Guy Hedges had charge of the burial services. Interment in the Creston cemetery. The sympathy of the community goes out to the bereaved parents in the loss of their first born.
