Aboard USS Ticonderoga
Aviation Electrician's Mate Third Class Arthur J. Faverty, USN, son of Mr. and Mrs. Louis J. Faverty of Mason and Maine St., Schneider, is serving with Attack Squadron 25 aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS Ticonderoga off the coast of Hawaii.
Flying the A-7B Corsair II aircraft, the squadron is undergoing intensive carrier operations in preparation for a fourth combat tour of duty off the coast of Vietnam. Emphasis of the operations will be placed upon improving air-to-ground weapons delivery technique.
