A copy of the following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated Feb. 14, 1957, was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:
W.B. Fish, 65, Former Resident, Dies At Watseka
Warren Bryl* Fish, 65, died at his home in Watseka, Ill., on February 8, of a heart attack.
Mr. Fish was a resident of Clark Street, Lowell, for many years, and his occupation was blacksmithing.
He was born October 25, 1891, at Danville, Ill., the son of Jacob and Clara Fish. He was married to Nellie Applegate in 1911.
Memorial services are being held today, February 14, at 2 p.m. in the Eskridge Funeral Home here, with Rev. E.L. Worley, officiating. Burial will be made in the Lowell cemetery.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Ruby Solomon of Lowell; and four sons, Garland and Nolan of Lowell, Lester of Chicago, and Donald of Kankakee, Ill., also seven grandchildren, three brothers are deceased.
* NOTE -- Mr. Fish's middle name is spelled "Bryl" in this article, but it was actually "Byrl." He went by his middle name.
