Walter V. "Bud" Fleener, age 71, of Salem, Ark., formerly of Lowell, passed away Feb. 9, 1982 in Arkansas. he is survived by his wife Ellen; two daughters, Olive Trulley of Hebron and Rita Nangle of Crown Point; one foster daughter, Pearl Novak of Hobart; 11 grandchildren; four foster grandchildren; seven brothers, Ralph of Creston, Dan of Texas, Richard of California, Marvin and Joe, both of Lowell, Robert of Florida and Thayne of Crown Point, and four sisters, Fan Sutton of Florida, Grace Lawman of Hebron, Inez Sampson of South Carolina, and Jane Allison of Monticello. Funeral services were held Feb. 13 at St Edward Catholic Church, Lowell, with Rev. Richard H. Ameling officiating. Burial followed at the St. Edward Cemetery in Lowell. Walter V. Fleener was a retired tavern owner.
