One of God's lovers now near the crown.
She is gone from us but her influence of love still lingers and shall not be forgotten. You can not tell in human speech the faithfulness of the heart that has been given to God, her sweet and quiet dignity, her remarkable love for her home and children. She had been sick for four weeks and bore her suffering with patience until the time come and she closed her eyes in a silent sleep. She was the mother of nine children, four of whom are left to know no more of a mother's love. She was a loving mother, a dutiful wife and a kind neighbor. She leaves to mourn her loss a loving sister, husband and four children. The funeral services was held at 2 o'clock, conducted by Rev. Tillotson, after which the remains was followed to their last resting place by her many friends and relatives.
Why do we mourn departed friends?
Do fear at death's alarms;
'Tis but the voice that Jesus sends
To call them to his arms.
