Helen Marion Dickey Fullerton
(Mrs. George Erskine Fullerton)
The following information comes from Emily Hixson, whose family research includes some Dickeys:
Helen Marion Dickey was born October 4, 1904, in Illinois.
She was the second child born to Arthur and Marion Dickey. She also attended the University of Oregon in Eugene. I found no record to show that she was a graduate, but it appears she was there three years. The certificate of marriage dated 29 June, 1929, and issued in Los Angeles, California, indicates Helen Marion Dickey, born in Chicago, Ill., the daughter of Arthur M. Dickey, born Grand Park, Ill., and Marion Murphy, born at Madelia, Minn., was now on this day marrying George Erskine FULLERTON, son of James and Eugenia Becker Fullerton. George was 26 and Helen, 24. George was an employee of American Trust Company. He was from Oakland, California. Helen was living at 1129 Coronado Territory in Los Angeles. She indicated that she was a teacher. Two sons were born to Helen and George. The family resided in Modesto, California, for several years. George died January 30, 1955. Helen was living in San Francisco, in a very comfortable retirement home, when I spoke with her on August 8, 1978.
