The following unidentified newspaper article, hand-dated 1894, was in a collection owned by Lowell Town Historian Richard Schmal:
Married, at the residence of the bride's parents, by Rev. Bruce, on Thursday evening, April 19th, Mr. Thomas Grant and Miss Grace Nichols. Mr. and Mrs. Grant left Thursday evening for Muncie, Ind., to visit Mr. G's sister. May they have a long and happy life is the . . . [The article was cut off at this point.]
The following card of thanks was found in the April 29, 1943, Lowell Tribune on page 2, column 4:
Card of thanks: We wish to sincerely thank all friends, neighbors and relatives for their kind expressions of sympathy in words, deeds and beautiful flowers, in the death of our beloved mother and sister, Mrs. Gracia Grant.
