Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hadders received a V-mail Christmas card from their son, Pvt. Wilford [Wilfred?] Hadders, who is stationed with an engineers battalion in England. Pvt. Arther Hadders, another son, is still at Fort Benjamin Harrison.
This January 27, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
Pvt. Arthur E. Hadders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hadders, Lowell, has been transferred from Ft. Benjamin Harrison to Keesler Field, Biloxi, Miss., for basic training.
A February 24, 1944, Lowell Tribune article about Wilfred and Herbert Hadders mentions that their brother Arthur had entered the air forces in December and was currently stationed at Keesler Field, Mississippi.
This Lowell Tribune article was found in the March 16, 1944, issue (page 2, column 1):
Pvt. Arthur Hadders has been transferred from Keesler Field, Miss. to Larson Field, Ft. Benning, Ga. He wrote his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hadders, that he liked the camp very much, and that it is the best he has yet been in. Now he's looking forward to taking his first plane ride.

Pvt. Arthur Hadders arrived home last Saturday to spend a 15-day furlough with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hadders, and other relatives. Art is stationed at Lawson Field, Ft. Benning, Ga., and is in the engineering department of the air corps. This is his first furlough since he entered the air corps six months ago.
The following June 29, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 5:
Mr. and Mrs. Michael Kasparian announce the engagement of their daughter, Katherine to Pvt. Arthur Hadders, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hadders, of Lowell. Pvt. Hadders is now stationed at Fort Benning, Ga.
This December 14, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:

Pvt. Arthur Hadders, stationed with the air corps at Ft. Benning, Ga., is home for 15 days with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hadders, and other relatives and friends, Art says he is kept very busy with his work as mechanic at that base.
This January 4, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 2:
CHRISTMAS EVE PARTY HELD AT HADDERS HOME
A Christmas Eve party was held at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hadders on Nichols street. The evening was spent playing bunco and other games, and singing Christmas carols. Gifts were exchanged at midnight, and a buffet supper was served. Present were: Dick Hadders of Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. Bruno Kelck, McHenry, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Richard Stephan and family, Lowell; Mr. and Mrs. George A. Hadders and Donald, Cedar Lake; Mr. and Mrs. Jake Walters, Shelby; Mrs. Herbert A. Hadders of Cleveland, Ohio; Pvt. Arthur Hadders, Fort Benning, Ga., who was home on an 18-day furlough, and Miss Katherine Kasparian.
This May 17, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 1:
Sgt. Herbert Hadders, who is home from overseas duty, and his brother, Cpl. Arthur Hadders, stationed with the air corps at Fort Benning, Ga., are enjoying a furlough at the home of their parents, the Fred Hadders. This is the first time the two brothers have met in over three years. Herbert, who was wounded in action in Germany, is now recuperating at a hospital in Memphis, Tenn. His wife, who makes her home in Cleveland, is here with him. Both boys will return to their stations next week.
This October 11, 1945, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 2, column 1:
Cpl. Arthur Hadders came home Friday night from Lawson Field, Georgia, where he has been stationed with the air corps. He has also been discharged from the service.
