Frank Jerome Hale, Jr.

Frank J, Hale, Jr., who entered the Marine Corps on November 5, is receiving his basic training in San Diego, Calif.

He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Hale, of Reeder Road. The senior Mr. Hale is an employee of the Lowell Sears store.

Marine Private First Class Frank J. Hale, Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank J. Hale, of route 2, Cedar Lake, successfully completed a 6-week Field Telephone course at the Signal School Battalion Marine Corps Recruit Depot recently.

Hale enlisted in the Marine Corps on November 4, 1951, at Gary, and received his recruit training at the Marine Recruit Depot.

He is now awaiting assignment as a wireman with a regular unit.

His father is a department head at the Lowell Sears store.
