The following February 15, 1951, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 5, column 3:
Friends of Mr. and Mrs. Sparky Hall will be glad to learn that their young son, Randy, is now recovered from his recent illness. Randy was seriously ill with double pneumonia. Sparky, who is well known in the Lowell-Shelby communities, is still serving with the armed forces in Korea.
