The following unidentified newspaper article (ca. 1904) was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
Theron Halsted and wife departed for Chicago Tuesday, and from there they will go to Boston, Mass., where they will make their future home. Their many friends here regret that they have gone, but wish them much happiness. Mrs. Halsted's relatives live in Boston and that place is more like home to her.
The following July 17, 1924, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 1, column 6:
DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT
Mrs. Oliver Surprise received a letter a few days ago from Mrs. Theron H. Halsted in which she wrote that Mr. Halsted passed away at their home in Foxboro, Mass., on July 7th. Funeral services were held the 9th.
Mr. Halsted formerly lived here with his wife and was well and favorably known to our citizens. He moved to his present home nearly twenty-five years ago. He leaves to mourn him, his wife and one son, Clifford, who resides in the west.
