The following August 10, 1944, Lowell Tribune article was found on page 4, column 2:
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Beaver attended the funeral of their nephew, Sterling Hedges at Winamac, Tuesday. A lifelong resident of that town, he was manager of the A&P store there. They were accompanied by their daughter, Mrs. Frank Rohrman, and husband, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Idam and Mr, and Mrs. Simmons, all of Chicago.
