The following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
C.H. Henderson was born July 25, 1828, in New York. He went to Michigan when a boy. In 1851 he was united in marriage to Miss Hannah Adams, and in the spring of 1863 they moved to Lake County, where they lived until twelve years ago, when they moved to Chicago. He died in Chicago Sunday, Dec. 4, aged seventy-six years, and the remains were brought to Lowell Wednesday, Dec. 7 and taken to Plum Grove for burial. Funeral Director Hedges had charge of the remains.
The deceased leaves a wife and six children to mourn his loss.
