W.T. Horine died today at 8:10 p.m.

Mr. Horine had hosts of friends in Lake County, and especially in Crown Point where he lived for many years. He came here in the 60's and practiced law for a time, and was also postmaster for several years. For the past ten years he has held a clerical position in the War Department at Washington. He was a member of Co. K, 20th Indiana Infantry, and lost a leg at Gettysburg while acting as color bearer. He was about 60 years old. No news received at time of going to press as to funeral or burial place
