A successful dentist, Dr. James will be sorely missed when he leaves next Thursday for Fort Sam Houston, near San Antonio, Texas, where he will be subjected to eight weeks of basic field training.
A lieutenant, senior grade, Dr. James was with the Navy during World War II and his name was retained on the inactive list. He is being drafted as an Army dentist, scheduled to serve an indefinite period of time.
His family will reside in San Antonio while he is in training. Best wishes are extended the Jameses for their speedy return to Lowell.
Having been recalled to the armed forces, effective October 1st my dental office will be closed until such time as the government permits my return to civilian life.
