He leaves his wife, two sons, a foster daughter, Mrs. Anna Gamble, of Grant Park, Ill.; four grandsons, Estal, Earl and Willard Johnson and Franklin Gamble; two brothers, John of California, and Charles, of Enos, Ind.; and one sister, Lucy, of Fairfield, Nebr. One brother and four sisters preceded him in death.
Mr. Johnson was a public spirited man, active in civic affairs. He served as trustee of the Town of Lowell for two terms and was ever watchful for the town's interests. He was a loving husband and a kind father and was a friend of all who knew him.
Funeral services were held at his late home Monday at 2 p.m. Rev. C.A. Brown, pastor of the M.E. church preached the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery. Undertaker Weaver had charge of the burial service. The following acted as pall bearers: Edward Yates, E.N, Hayhurst, Solmon Spry, W.W. Dickinson, P.A. Berg and S.A. Brownell.
