The following item was in the May 27, 1920, Lowell Tribune (page 1, column 6):
Died Very Suddenly
Wayland Jones, who formerly was resident of Lowell but for some time has lived in Crown Point, died very suddenly at his home there Monday night. He went to bed about ten thirty feeling in his usual health and about 11:30 he awakened his wife with heavy breathing and she was unable to arouse him and in a few minutes he passed away.
Funeral services will be held in Crown Point today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. and the remains will be bought to Lowell today and a short funeral service will be held at the cemetery.
