The following article was found on page 8, column 1 of the August 23, 1917, Lowell Tribune:
What might have proved a fatal accident to several of our citizens occurred last Sunday when A. Kaufman's truck turned turtle near the river with several ladies and children in it. Charlie Jones was the most seriously injured, he having his leg broken in two places, and his sister was cut on the hand. Mrs. Kaufman had her arm injured and the balance of the occupants receiving slight bruises but none serious as near as we can learn.
