Mr. Kenney, associated with his brother Denzil, owned and operated trenching machinery. They also built and operated the Lowell Reduction Plant and for six years Mr. Kenney managed the Log Cabin station east of Lowell, he also trained horses until 1943 when ill health forced his retirement.
Mr. Kenney was born near Lowell, in the Orchard Grove community Jan. 24, 1882, where he spent his lifetime. He was the son of Schuyler and Rhoda Kenney. He was married to Mildred Potter of Angola, Ind., on July 30, 1910, and they have one son, Carlos, Jr., of Lake Dalecarlia. Mr. Kenney was a member of the Lowell Masonic Lodge 378, Colfax.
Surviving with his wife and son are two grandchildren, Geraldine and Robert, one brother Denzil of Florida, several nephews, cousins, and many friends and neighbors.
Memorial services were conducted in the Sheets Funeral Home at 2 p.m. Monday, June 11, with Rev. E.L. Worley officiating. Interment was made in the Orchard Grove Cemetery.
