She was united in marriage with Loyal Lamphier at Valparaiso, Indiana, in 1874, and for fifty years they journeyed together in life's pathway, sharing each others burdens. Mrs. Lamphier united with the Christian church many years ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Lamphier spent twenty years in Iowa, and except for a few months at a time they have lived the remainder of their married life in Lowell.
She leaves to mourn her husband, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Pauline Hettinger, of Hammond, one brother Lauson Hopkins, of Buchcanan, Mich., four sisters, Mrs. Mira Sanders, of Attica, Ind., Mrs. Clark Williams, of Lafayette, Ind., Mrs. Ella Castle, of Lowell, and Mrs. Catherine Jewett, of Norfolk, Nebr., and hosts of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church in Lowell Wednesday, December 31st, at 1:30 p.m. Rev. Nickerson, pastor of the church, preached the funeral sermon. Interment was made in the Pine Grove cemetery. Undertaker William Sheets had charge of the burial service.
