SCHNEIDER NAVY MAN DIES IN COAST HOSPITAL
Lawrence Walter Lane, 24, of Schneider, son of Mr. and Mrs. John Lane, passed away last Friday at a Seattle, Washington, hospital, where he had been confined for several weeks with a kidney ailment. A member of the U.S. Navy the past several years, he was a graduate of Lowell high school and a member of Lowell Legion Post.
Services were held at Schneider Presbyterian church Wednesday, Rev. E.L. Worley officiating. Interment, in charge of Kenneth Sheets, was made in Morocco cemetery, with military services at the grave by Lowell Post 101. Pallbearers were members of Schneider V.F.W. Post.

OBITUARY
Laurence Walter Lane, son of John and Ogretta Lane, was born Oct. 26, 1926 at Kankakee, Ill., and passed away at the Marine hospital at Seattle, Wash., on April 15, 1949 at the age of 22 yrs. 5 mo. and 26 days.
He attended grade school in Schneider and two years of high school at Lowell, when he joined the Navy at the age of 15 yrs., where he has served most of the time since.
He leaves to mourn his early passing his father and mother, two sisters and six brothers, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Presbyterian church at Schneider, E.L. Worley minister in charge. Military services were conducted by Legion Post 101 of Lowell at the grave at Morocco with K.A. Sheets in charge of burial.
