The following article was found in the April 19, 1917, Lowell Tribune on
page 1, column 4:
Sunday Morning Fire
About 8:30 Sunday morning the fire alarm was sounded, summoning the
department to the home of Clark Leary, which was on fire. The
department soon had the fire under control. The fire caught in the
south part of the house. Some damage was done by the fire, but the
greater damage was from water. The loss was covered by insurance.
