George Leary Victim of Gun Accident

George Leary was the victim of a strange accident Wednesday evening of last week. He was shooting a .410 gauge shotgun when one of the shells exploded in the gun and a piece of the brass casing flew back and hit his right eye, penetrating the eye ball.

Bob Genda, his employer, took him to Mercy hospital that night and an eye specialist tried to remove the piece of brass but was unsuccessful. Minor surgery the next morning however, was successful.

George, now improving rapidly, returned to work at the Ford garage Tuesday.
