A copy of the following unidentified newspaper article was found in a scrapbook owned by Town Historian Richard Schmal:
Death after long illness came to Frank Liston, 69, Wednesday night in his home at 708 East Clark Street where he and Mrs. Liston came after retirement from farming south of Crown Point. Born and reared near Rensselaer, he served in World War I and held membership in Fred Schmidt Post 20, the American Legion.
With his wife, Maude, he leaves a son, Eugene, of Crown Point, and three step-children, also of this community; Clarence and Robert Hoshaw and Mrs. Michael Petrovich.
Rev. E.L. Worley of Lowell will conduct services at 2 o'clock this Saturday afternoon in the Linton-McColly funeral home here and Legionnaires of the local post will hold graveside rites at the Lowell cemetery.
