Howard McRoberts

A SURPRISE

Sunday evening, May 17th, some of the Sheridan Community friends made it the occasion to meet at the home of H.D. Meyer, to give Mr. Howard McRoberts, one of the Sheridan School teachers a surprise party, being school is dismissed and he is soon to leave for his home. They were successful for the surprise was complete, but he soon recovered his composure and proceeded to make his guests feel at home.

The evening was most pleasantly spent in playing card games, with lovely music and singing. At 11:30 refreshments were served, consisting of sandwiches, cake, bananas and coffee.

On departing for their homes they all welcomed Mr. McRoberts to return in the fall when school opens to teach again.
