Thirza (Thuza) H. Dyer Michael
(Mrs. Edwin Michael)
This March 5, 1925, Lowell Tribune obituary appeared on page 4, column 1:
Thirza Dyer Michael, daughter of Daniel and Sarah Dyer, was born in Wheaton, Illinois, and the early years of her girlhood were spent there.
After finishing the course in the public schools she attended Wheaton College and fitted herself for a teacher.
While still a young girl the family moved to Batavia, Illinois, and lived there for several years. It was during this time that Mrs. Michael heard the Master's call to service and united with the Methodist church.
She was a woman of fine christian character, and as long as health permitted was always ready to do her part in the work of the church she loved, or to help in any other worthy cause.
She was united in marriage to Edwin Michael of West Creek, Indiana, and they resided in that locality for many years.
She was a member of the Lake Prairie Presbyterian church, and was loved and respected by neighbors and friends.
Three children survive Mrs. Michael. Earl H.* Michael, of Challis, Idaho, Mrs. F.W. Kobelin of Crown Point, and Mrs. Edna Heminger, who is a missionary in Cameroun, West Africa.
Mrs. Michael passed away at Logansport, Thursday, February 19th, passing from pain and weariness into a new life of joy and fulfillment.
* NOTE -- Other articles about Earl Michael lists his middle initial as "J" rather than "H."
