The following unidentified newspaper article, ca. the early 1900's, was found in a scrapbook owned by Betty Burton of Lowell:
Died Suddenly
Mrs. Carry Minas, wife of John Minas, of Crown Point, died at her home suddenly Wednesday noon of consumption, aged 41 years. She had been afflicted with the malady for a long time. She was up and around as usual until about an hour of her death, when she laid down, and before relatives who were sent for reached her bedside, she was dead. It will be remembered that she was taken to Texas last year in hopes that the change of climate would do her good. She leaves a husband and daughter twelve years old and a son ten years old. She was a sister of Mrs. Peter Schmal. The funeral will occur at 1:30 p.m. today.
