The deceased, with his parents, moved to West Creek township when he was a small boy, in which community, with the exception of a few years, he lived his life on a farm until four years ago when he moved to Lowell.
January 25, 1882, he was united in marriage to Anna Templeton. To this union were born nine children -- Oca M. Foster, Leon M., Mae M. Murdin, of Chicago, Merle C., Charles T., Cecil E., Madeline J. Hayden, and Margaret B., who with the widow survive. Also, ten grand-children and two brothers and four sisters -- Mrs. George Sullivan and John Minninger, of Chicago, Mrs. Anna Pinter, of Crown Point, Mrs. Geo. Wilson, Mrs. Ed. Wheeler and Nicholas Minninger, of Lowell.
The funeral services were held at the M.E. church Saturday afternoon, Rev. C.A. Brown conducting the last sad rites. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery.
